...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
counties, Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston, Harris, Liberty,
Montgomery, San Jacinto and Walker.
* WHEN...Until 130 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream
flows are elevated. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1140 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pasadena, eastern Pearland, northwestern Baytown, Conroe,
Friendswood, Deer Park, Alvin, South Houston, Humble, Galena
Park, Jacinto City, Webster, Cleveland, Willis, eastern
Manvel, Spring, Kingwood, The Woodlands, Barrett and Greater
Fifth Ward.

Instructions: Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
